Frequently Asked Questions

How do I expand the ZIP archive?
Our training videos are compressed into ZIP file archives for transmission over the Internet. After you download the files from our website you will need to unzip the files. Windows and Mac OS X include built in support for extracting ZIP file archives.

I am having trouble playing the video. What should I do?
Try updating your version of QuickTime.

Go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ and download the latest version. If the video still does not play properly you should check to make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

Fit to Screen
If the movie doesn't fit on your screen try increasing the resolution of your monitor. An alternative is to scale the movie to fit your screen. In QuickTime Player choose View > Fit to Screen.

Full Screen Mode
To watch the movie in full screen mode, choose View > Enter Full Screen. If you are watching the movie in full screen mode press the escape key to exit full screen mode. The space bar can be used to start playing the movie or to pause the movie.

Chapters
QuickTime Player supports chapters that can be used to skip instantly to a specific lesson in the movie. To select a chapter click on the pull down menu to the right of the timeline.

How to Open Newer Maya Scene Files in Your Older Version of Maya

If you are using an older version of Autodesk Maya you can still open the project files from newer versions of Maya. From the File menu select Open Scene... with Options. Click on the square box next to the Open Scene... menu item to open the Options Box.

In the Open Options window enable the Ignore Version checkbox. Then click on the Apply button to save the options. Now you can easily open newer Maya scene files in your older version of Maya.
